Firstly, to everyone who participated within the Hanabi! Project Revival dubs, thank you very much. Without everyone's voice, mixing prowess, graphics, help and overall support, I doubt this could have happened. Above all, though, thank you all for your love and belief in Hanabi. Without all of this put together, this group would have not been revived. So, again, thank you, and bravo! We have finally finished our Revival! Now, we must strive to continue in keeping Hanabi surviving in this warring Dubbing community!
Anywhoo, now that the first set of dubs are done (including our first sub-unit release as a newly revived Hanabi, Dream Marionette's 'Junjou Marionette'), I am going to be introducing something I hope to maintain whenever we release a set of dubs; Notes, comments, little pieces to say regarding what has been done, from the mixers and editors, or from anyone else. This way, you can read about what to improve on, or to basically just be praised.
I am basically improving upon the format of commenting I used on youtube videos, however they will be for a set of dubs as opposed to individual dubs, and also, they will be here, not on youtube videos. Use these commentaries as you will.
That all said and done, I shall now continue on with the commentary at hand for the release of Ima Koko Kara, Koko ni Iruzee! and SURVIVOR! Enjoy.
Ima Koko Kara
Frstly, whoah, how and when did we get so good!? I mean, I know Hanabi is fantastic and all, but gosh, even after almost 2 years of not releasing anything, we all manage to sound so perfect together? Clearly, we are meant to be together!
I personally did not mix this piece by the way, so I can't say much regarding how it went during the process of it all, however I do think that everyone here sounds gorgeous! I feel like we really made this an emotional piece in how we all sang, I can truly feel our happiness here, and how lively we sound, despite the fact that this song is pretty gentle for the most part. Everyone gave it their all, and the result is amazing; it is a beautiful dub, and seriously, I am so proud of you all! Bravo, and thank you! ;w; Mama will cry now, just as she did when this dub first came out.
ALL THE TEARS!!!
Koko ni Iruzee!
Okay, I can speak a little more regarding this song, and that's because I was in charge of mixing it, and honestly, I did enjoy mixing Koko ni Iruzee!, despite how darned long it took me to do so! Seriously though, mixing this was fun because it allowed me to realise the improvement everyone here has made, moreso the improvement of both Keiki and Momo, which bowled me over quite a bit.
Like, whoa!
Honestly, everyone sounds amazing here, but hearing how both Momo and Keiki have improved since I last mixed them made me want to cry with happiness and motherly pride, because it's as if I have watched both grow since Hanabi's earliest days. Honestly, I cried when I was mixing everyone cause, no joke, we sound fabulous, and we all fit together like peas in a pod, and I am so happy with the outcome of this dub (despite the fact a few things could be tweaked to make it sound even more blended). Really though, all of your energy, brightness, happiness and wonderful voices really made this a wonderful song to mix, and no matter how much I put off actually mixing it... I loved every second of it myself.
Also, please, Raemama, keep adding in your random little rambles and noises whenever you dub. They're entertaining, and when they overlap my rambles and noises it's even better, because we both sound delightfully crazy!
Anyways, it was a joy to mix, and aside from the fact we don't all time perfectly (Kei, your timing was the worst, sorry XD), it was still a heck of a lotta fun to create this piece! It took a while, but when it was done... the result teared me up! -sniffs-
Oh, and my only regret? The graphic. Always that damn graphic XD I got too damn lazy! xD
SURVIVOR
The final song in our Trio of Revival dubs, well, it took a while, but guess what? THAT WAIT WAS WORTH IT, BECAUSE WE SMASHED IT >
I didn't mix SURVIVOR, Ashley did (and she did a bloody good job of it, at that!), however we talked a lot through the process of it, only because I kept pestering her, so she told me what was going on to appease my annoying messages asking 'WHURR ITH SERVITHOR?'. Aside from having a lot of other dubs to mix and whatnot, there was one thing about this one that kept popping up when I asked what was up.
!
Blending. It was the blending. More specifically, two people who refused to blend.
Hi Momo. Hi Rae. o3o
Okay, so, Rae and Momo's blending is a case of; Rae holds her lines too long (Yes, I know this, she does it. A lot o3o. I love it though, so eh) and Momo holding hers too short (Yeah, I know this, too XD), and this was one of the biggest irks of the mixing process, but aside from that, there was nothing else that got in the way. Apparently we're all far too kickass to cause many problems, which is true, we're all way too great ;D I mean, c'mon... WE'RE HANABI
Seriously though, there was only that one niggle from what I can recall, but we all sing differently, so it is of course expected, and we hold notes differently... and it's why I cut out a good chunk of Rae's holding note whenever I mix, teehee.
Still, maybe I won't pair you two together all the time, hmm... o3o
... And that's it. I have no clue what else to say, because I am tired, and I am rushing this. I rush EVERYTHING
Seriosuly though, everyone, congratulations on finishing this and being a part of it! I am so happy with all of the effort, love and happiness you poured into each of these dubs, and how hard everyone has worked towards the Revival of Hanabi! Project. YOU all made this happen, and YOU have all made Mama a happy little Hen, clucking away as she cries with tears of love and happiness.
You all are great, and I love you <3
Again, thank you for this, and thank you for being a part of Hanabi! Project! Let's keep on working hard, and make this project even better than it was before our Hiatus!!!
Much Love,
MAMA!!! <3
